When two are two

From the start, it was on.
Hormones were raging,
Feelings were strong.
This was more than a fling
not purely infatuation.
This love was made to last
no time for procrastination.
An atomic bomb hit,
never making a coo.
Nothing else mattered
except "me and you."

"This is how it goes right?
Never even had a fight.
Man this love is out of sight.
Make the wrongs seem so right,
Like a penguin gaining flight.
Know we'll always be alright,
Here for you with all my might."

Things pushed on,
days went by.
Lovers 'till the day they die.
Cuddle, kiss, hug, and more;
"More than just a nightly score."
Friends forgotten,
Pushed aside.
Only two passengers
On this ride.
Six months pass
and birdies sing.
Kneeling to the ground
he hits her with the ring.

"Who am I?"
"I don't know"
"Do you know me?"
"I love you so."
"What makes me tick?"
"No need for strife."
"What makes me sick?"
"Please be my wife,
and I can learn about
you for the rest
of my life."

They undocked the boat
and set sail.
But when things got rocky
they got pale.
Mystified about
what to do.
This is something
they'd never been through.
Communication was
something new.
A slab of meat that
they just couldn't chew.
Using a nail when
they needed a screw.
A mystery that called
for Scooby Doo.
One fight and alas
the marriage was through.
Passionate lovers
who never knew.
Without communication
Two are never one,
But two are two
And love won't do
when two are two.
