Dear Princesses,
Over the years I've heard a lot about you.
I've heard you're in need of a brave rescue.
Trapped in a tower. Left all alone.
Waiting for a prince to come take you home.
But there is one little thing that I can't understand.
Please here me out before you reprimand.
Why do the bad guys always seem to win?
Why are you attracted to their deadly sins?
Maybe the fairy tales were all a lie.
Or maybe you can't tell a bad from a good guy.
So, times aren't the same as fairy tales, I know.
Things don't work out the same as stories would go.
I might not have shining armor to make me stand out.
Or even a horse to find you on and leave you without doubt
That I'm the prince you've been waiting for all you're life
to give you all you could need and love you with rife.
But trust me, I'd do whatever it takes to make you see
That nobody would give up more just for you to be free.
And I don't come from royalty with riches unbound.
But my desire to go through hell for you would be renowned.
And maybe you don't need me, but maybe I need you.
We could rescue each other and love would ensue.
But listen to me closely because words I don't like to mince.
Every girl is a princess and every princess deserves a prince.
I hope you find you're prince.
Sincerely,
Not You're Fairy Tale Prince
