Time Flies

They say that time flies.

Well, I'd fly for you.

Then time might slow down.

It's just what'd I'd do.

First a minute, then an hour,

Now a year has gone by.

The clock keeps on spinning

With each blink of my eye.

I want to slow it down

before my life goes away.

But if I think about it,

do I really cherish each day?

Do I live life to the fullest?

Do I make use of my time?

Or do I give it all away when

the moment should be mine?

Now I'm so worried about time

Another precious day passed.

If I waste my time with worries

My precious days won't last.

Well,

My future's kind of hard to see

But, my present's in front of me.

So let's just say it's okay to be.

No wills, no dids, just now you see?

Suddenly, the time slowed down.

And I'm feeling with each inhale,

My senses spiked with sudden life

And times hands will not prevail.

I'd still fly for you if need be

But, not to stop time's dive.

I've learned to beat it's trickery

And now, finally, I am alive.
